The Company

Motolectric, based in the SF Bay Area, is a maker of high performance electrical upgrade kits for motorcycles. Our background is in low voltage delivery systems; audio, video, automotive sound and 12-20 volt DC vehicle. We are expert in the elimination of system noise and delivery of the maximum percentage of available system voltage to the consumers (lights, starters etc.) We have a very deep and well researched experience in this field.

All of our upgrade kits are based on fundamental concepts. We strive to supply solid solutions that enhance the bikes value and do not offer bandaid type products (products that cover up the problem instead of rectifying the problem). We have made our 2 most popular kits for the Ducati E900 and Cagiva Elefant motorcycles since 2002. They have had wide acceptance and we have satisfied customers in over 46 countries world-wide.

Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile , China, Columbia, Cyprus, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Spain, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey and Venezuela.

We now offer our innovative kits for select Aprilia, BMW, Cagiva, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, KTM, Moto Guzzi, MV Agusta, Norton, Triumph and Suzuki motorcycles.

All of our kits use components sourced from USA companies.

Our kits are designed and engineered to a standard and not built down to a price.

All of our products are designed, engineered and assembled in the USA.

The People

Motolectric is a family owned business. We're 3rd and 4th generation motorcyclists. Our family experience with motorcycles goes back to about 1911 or so, primarily in Michigan. Our great uncle was a well known endurance rider and shop owner in Grand Rapids, MI. Our earliest memories are of family picnics at the park with a huge group of motorcycles, all ridden in by family members and their friends.

Middle Years 1950-1980 Most family members competed in some form of motorcycle competition. Back in the day you "run what you brung" and so a riders bike was also his race bike. Family members almost always placed and often trophied.
