After polishing the HICAP terminal reinstall the spacer and bolt. Again use a sensible amount of torque or (preferably) consult your Aprilia manual for the proper torque spec and use a torque wrench.

This is a critical juncture in the motorcycles electrical system.

Bolt down this cable and the short jumper that goes to the battery at the frame ground point. Use the supplied longer bolt to compensate for the added height of the terminals.
