Removing the tank on the V4 bikes is required for most service work in the underseat area.

Since each bike will be a little different you might be able to get the solenoid to starter lead to slide past without having to remove the tank.

Use the "fish wire" technique described later for the starter end of the lead.

We include a packet of Armour All plastic lubricant to aid in sliding the leads around.

The Armour All makes the leads *very* slippery.

For this guide we removed the tank for clarity.
